ജില്ലയിലെ വിവിധ ശിശുസംരക്ഷണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലുള്ള ആയിരത്തിലധികം കുട്ടികളുടെ ചുണ്ടിൽ പുഞ്ചിരി വിരിയിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമമാണ് “ചിന്ന ചിന്ന ആശൈ” പദ്ധതി. പതിനെട്ട് വയസുവരെയുള്ള1084 കുട്ടികൾക്ക് പൊതുജനങ്ങളുടെ സഹകരണത്തോടെ സമ്മാനങ്ങൾ നൽകുന്നതിനാണ് ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലാ ഭരണകൂടം പദ്ധതി തയ്യാറാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. ജില്ലയിൽ വനിതാ ശിശുവികസന വകുപ്പിന്റെ അംഗീകാരമുള്ള 43 ചൈൽഡ് ഹോമുകളിലെ കുട്ടികളിൽ നിന്നും അവരുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ ശേഖരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പതിനെട്ട് വയസിന് താഴെയുള്ള 644 പെൺകുട്ടികളും 444 ആൺകുട്ടികളുമാണുള്ളത്. വിവിധ കാരണങ്ങളാൽ ചൈൽഡ് ഹോമുകളിലെത്തിയവരുടെ ചെറിയ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ സാധിച്ചുകൊടുക്കാൻ കഴിവുള്ളവർ മുന്നോട്ടവരണമെന്ന് അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.
